1. There is apparently a blank spot in Obama's promise to the concept of transparency when it comes to certain matters. As this article shows, this blank spot can create a field of rumor and alienation as we get the sense that maybe some things are over our head, or that we we lack the maturity to be included in some matters. Not good:
2. Now, to the matter of the government encroaching on the 1st Amendment protections of the press, we have Bill Keller who weighs in and paints a realistic perspective on why the government does in fact need to have better guidelines along with a legal interpretation as to why and how delicate matters involving "secrecy" should be regarded:
3. The GeeOpie doom and gloomers are in a tizzy. Their apoplectic warnings about Medicare and Social Security taking us over the cliffs in the near future are not true. New data shows that things are not all that bad, even though tweaks and adjustments need to be instituted. While this news is not good for the Mitchell-Boehner wing of government, unemployment is slowly, but steadily decreasing, the stock market is robust, and the housing market is in a period of good investment - you can see why their only tactics are to cry scandal on anything that flies by:
4. There are states under Republican legislative control who are conflicted about joining in on Obama Care. Some see the advantages for their state, others just welcome the federal money to pour in, and others don't want to join because......well, because it is Obama Care. This is creating internal political problems for the Republican party - which confirms its reputation as the "Party of Stupid":
