Well, it is Monday the 26th, and I am back from clean and clear skies of the high sierras of Northern California. At 7200 feet, the air is very clean, but there is a noticeable lack of oxygen compared to living in Southern California. Clean air is much much better than Southern California (east of downtown Los Angeles). But, it's nice to be home. Heather Cox Richardson is on to where the Democrats and their campaign is compared to the Republican Party. At least the Democrats are going into this with their eyes and ears wide open on the skullduggery and corruption that Trump and associates are planning to "steal" the election. MAGA has already installed people and plans to corrupt each and every step of the election process, but with this knowledge, and the huge financial support of political contributions to the Harris-Walz campaign, it looks promising. With Trump suggesting that he may just drop out of the planned debate on 10 September, you can bet that he is panicked about really losing.
Another voice, Perlstein of the American Prospect, offers a condensed and refreshing view of past situations where Democrats and history met with mixed results, and how they have contributed to the current political climate brought on my the recent surge of political interest in Harris-Walz:
And, one more favorite is Andy Borowitz:
