It is increasingly obvious to me that Putin's aggression in the Ukraine is nothing compared to the changes in our climate. The wonder and power of Nature is a more awesome and threatening force than any power-crazed human can do. The blockade of commerce and the disruption of grains and food stuffs is small potatoes compared to what is going on around us. The global changes affect everyone, and this article by HCR is a concise recap of the high points. Meanwhile, the Republican Party is going on like the dumb elephant in the room with old campaign tropes that ignore or worsen the ability to confront big problems. If the Democrats are smart, they would hammer away on their ignorance and lack of concern for the problems of climate change. When sea water is hotter than ever, and getting hotter, and crops are wilting away from the lack of hydration, and people are dying as a result of worsening climate change......are we too late in working to mitigate the problem, or can we hold on and try and find a way out? The Republicans do not recognize the problem, in fact, Pence's plan to defund the EPA is a classic example of stupidity.
