Something to Know - 7 June

1.  In the wake of Edward Snowden's revelations, Washington D.C. critics in the administration and national security agencies pitched the complaints that Snowden made their jobs harder to protect us.  Admittedly, Snowden provided information that showed the cracks and leaks in social media applications that allowed invasive maneuvers by the NSA to take private information into its realm of data review and storage.   This article articulates the content and methodology of this operation by the NSA.  So, again, we have to ask - if Edward Snowden had not shown that the NSA was invading Google, Yahoo, Twitter, etc. .....who would have, and how long would this have gone on?:

2.  John McCain, our cranky and creaky old uncle in the attic, has appeared more often on TV than is necessary.   He seems to participate grandly in the GeeOpie game of double-speak, and he is frankly irritated that he gets caught doing so:
