2. The gradual erosion of much of our privacy goes along with our reluctant acceptance of technology to keep things safer. Some of us accept it more than others, and some of us reject any form. There is no consistency in what we accept, or not accept. The problem is that technology has far out-paced our understanding of what is going on, and we have not been able to put a leash on it:
