Something to Know - 20 April

Michael Ramirez
1.  Now that Boston, Cambridge, and Watertown have been brought to justice, we can talk about other matters.  This article is inspires the same level of outrage as we felt in Boston.  George W. Bush.  The writer is admonishing to not to rush to hastily on the judgement of "W" as a poor president.  In my lifetime, I have seen two presidents who brought shame and disrespect to the office Of the President of the United States - Nixon and Bush.  Nixon because he was a scoundrel and a pathetically insecure and devious individual.  Bush. because he just had no qualifications and let petty shits tell him what to do, and how to do it...and he had no clue as to what he was doing.  Read on:

2.  The attached link concerns an article that supports the use of funds from labor unions pensions funds for the use of supporting public works (municipal projects and infrastructure improvements for roads and bridges) as an alternate to where the Congress is gridlocked in its need to support jobs programs for the same issues.  It might work, and be a good trick if it was not for the moves afoot to destroy unions (teachers, city and state employees......and postal workers):

3.  Paul Krugman writes about the fallacy of using garbage data to support claims that launch economic policy:

4.  In a previous posting, there was much to be discussed about methods that are plainly available to reduce the cost of medical care.  Many solutions are there, but because of Big Pharma resistance to accept sensible alternatives, and hospitals who have their own mind on how to make money, we are stuck.  See for yourself (video....get the popcorn):
