Things to Know - 9 April

1.  For those of you who are not familiar with Rachel Maddow and her MSNBC program, here is an opportunity to see how she presents her no-nonsense format in a very easy to understand manner.  The video clip here is about a very wealthy donor who represents an industry that specializes in nuclear waste disposal, and is doing everything possible to defeat Obama.   He is plowing all kinds of money to any and all candidates to move Obama out so that he can get a nuclear dump that would most-likely contaminate the Ogallala aquifer:

2.  Robert Scheer has written many pieces in the past that were not exactly supportive of Obama.  However, when he looks at the GeeOpee and the presumptive nominee, his instinct is to realize that the country absolutely cannot continue to absorb the destructive nature of the Republican Party (or what is masquerading as the GOP):

3.  This article goes deeply into the killings and whack-a-mole chase on drug operations and their king pins.   How long do we have to keep getting grim reports of failures on the "war on drugs"?   This so called war is an utter failure, and is reported as such year after year, and decade after decade:

4.  E.J. Dionne writes about the hissy fits that conservatives had when Obama actually called out the Supreme Court and right-wingers on pending action on the Affordable Care Act:

5.  The GeeOpee in congress and Mitt-Bott are heaping praise on the Ryan budget plan.   The problem is that it is full of holes and unanswered questions while it gives huge tax breaks to the wealthy, and takes entitlements. programs, and services away from those who are not wealthy.  In short, it is a fraud.  The direct and vocal opposition by Obama is vehemently opposed by the conservatives because if they don't complain about Obama, it might mean that Obama is right. which he is:

6.  As someone who has experienced various medical examinations in moving from Georgia to California, and each location desiring to run the same tests or imaging, I can fully support the argument that there are seemingly unnecessary tests going on:

7.  Advertising the difficulties, dangers, and futility of illegal border crossings is another way of discouraging illegal immigration.  Actual programs bought on local radio and TV stations in Mexico and Central American are broadcast:
