Normally the newsletter is a full copy to the article; this morning it is a link. I am allowed to "gift" some articles from The Atlantic, and you really should read this. It is a long read, which is why a transcript would take many pages. It concerns the dramatic changes that the United States has made to its foreign policy so far this year. None of it is good if you enjoy friendly alliances and peaceful relationships with allies. Trump has dumped all this in favor of his "America First" doctrine. As you read the article, you will see that trashing NATO and other alliances, imposing vicious tariffs in commerce, and demeaning other nations and their leaders will greatly affect the stature of the United States on the world stage. Shattered alliances will mean that neighbors and other countries will all rearm their own defenses. No one can depend on the United States to clear the air as before. Nations and people are now forming doubts in some cases and hatred in others about us. They will try to avoid buying anything from US manufacturing (planes, machinery, foodstuffs, etc) and find friendlier sources. Indeed, China Russia, and Asian markets will benefit. Don't be surprised if your ease in international tourism and welcoming is harder. In short, the Great America is tending to fall in disfavor, and this is going to really hurt. What is greatly lacking is the intellegencia of the deep state that held the glue together in keeping the United States #1 have for the most part all been fired, and agencies and departments that ran with with the expertise are now all gone.
