The issue of Russian interference in our election process is HCR's first topic. Trump has nothing to run on. He might have had advantages when he was going to face Biden, but not now. The Russians with sly manipulation of Artificial Intelligence and lies are endeavoring to influence favoritism to Trump. It is best to call that stuff out now, so as to blunt the efforts, and expose it all for what it is. Of course the Russians want Trump to win because he is carrying out favors for Putin and wants nothing more than to get the USA out of Europe so that NATO won't bother any incursions into countries Russia would really like to take over. Putin has Trump in his pocket, for reasons that we may never find, but we are very suspicious and need to stop it. HCR also points to the hints of economic and trade policies that he mentions. Trump had aspirational ideas, which are all basically refuted by highly capable economists and experts in trades between nations. But Trump cannot speak in the language of actual policy, because he has very little knowledge, so while he babbles away incoherently, Kamala and Tim present actual proposed policy language that people can understand.
Detractors to the Harris campaign point to a lack of foreign policy experience. In answer to that, Vox - another contributor to the public square - has this nicely written defense, or rather explanation, on the credibility of her position(s). She has had four years in the White House already, and in that time she has had time to absorb and work with issues and personalities very relevant to establishing an outstanding resumé.
Some friends of mine have offered up a New Republic article, featuring the well-respected Boston Globe opinion writer - Mike Barnicle. The subject is that our media has been mostly silent on discussing Trump's mental failings. These observations need to be brought front and center in a serious debate on the Unfitness to serve in any public office. Pay close attention to each of the 10 examples that Barnicle brings out for review:
Other than that, I doubled checked to see if my timeline date was correct this time; it is. Stay inside. This heat pressure dome over Southern California is not good for my sinuses.
