Something to Know - 4 September

The so-called "sprint" to election day is on.  HCR details the motions and counter motions that an unsteady and unhinged Trump is exhibiting.   The wavering and behavior is not helping his "sprint".   It appears that by wobbling and babbling on stuff that his team has told him to avoid, he persists in carrying on his self-destructive course.   While all of this is going on, the issue of Women and their Reproductive Rights are center stage in a growing political force for the Harris-Walz campaign.  Trump's antics in the meantime are turning off voters.   The GOP nastiness is a horrible negative strategy, and a positive Democrat campaign is not taking the bait to follow suit, and that is having a positive effect on the voters.


Garrison Keillor flies from New York to an ophthalmologist's office in Minnesota, and writes about his encounter with the TSA.   Of course, we regaled with his thoughts about the good old days, and times only someone from Lake Wobegon appreciates:
