Okay - it is all done now. Close to 100 million have already voted early, and in-person voting is today. Nothing more to be done, except to wait it all out. Attempting to avoid the stresses of speculation is the name of the game, as far as I am concerned. If you feel the same way, take a slight trip into the garden of Giverny, France, where the French Painter Claude Monet created a place where he could use his own backyard to create a landscape of beautiful flowers in the surrounding waters. We were lucky to have the seasonal foliage in full splendor, coupled with an overcast that muted harsh contrasts of sunlight. It was a beautiful setting for taking pictures, and probably about the same as the artist intended to create his works that are so admired today. See you tomorrow, when we can get down to the nitty gritty; today is best to think elsewhere.
Lynne and I would recommend a river boat trip that would include Paris, Normandy beach, and south down to Provence. It was a memorable visit. October was a great time to go.
