Something to Know - 26 October

Charles Blow, of the NY Times, is pointing out the obvious dilemma of the state of our nation.  The rich are getting to be even richer fat cats, the middle class is shrinking, and the poorer are sliding into the depths of despair.  All the while, the thought is that we are holding on to the hope that the "responsible Republicans' will take back their party so that we can again prosper as a nation.  Meanwhile, our schools are failing, there are no jobs for those who desperately need them.  Perhaps it is time for you and me and other Progressives to get up and do something about it, rather than wait for the mysterious cavalry from around the bend of reason to show up:
