Something to Know - 28 June

Justice Thomas VRA

1.  There is jubilation for the decisions handed down by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.  However, Tuesday was a dark day for humanity as the disconnected conservatives struck down and gutted the Voters' Rights Act:

2.  The Heritage Foundation, a stellar group of conservatives, has its spokesman to respond to the Supreme's Wednesday ruling on Proposition 8 (video):

3.  Charles Blow tries to reconcile the gutting of Section 4 of the Voters' Rights Act on one hand, and the decisions rendered on the following day:

4.  David Brooks practically closes the book on Immigration Reform and declares what happened in the Senate (passing it), as to what is going to happen in the House.  He diagrams what is going to happen next.  This will drive the Tea Baggers crazy, who are intent on making the House session on a "new bill" by provoking an internal GeeOpie brawl into the Party of Stupid:

When the end of the world comes, I want to be in Kentucky, because everything there happens 20 years after it happens anywhere else.
