I am struggling this morning.  This format is a reflection of an attempt to alter the presentation into a blog format for your consumption.  It's going to take me a while to get there, so this is the temporary work around.  It's kind of like going for a drive, and there is a one-lane detour for a stretch while the main road is being repaired or rebuilt:

1. The first piece is an editorial from the NY Times.  I did not watch the Republicants presidential candidates debate last week, but I did see a piece where the moderator, Matt Lauer, was asking Rick Perry about his record as being the governor with the highest recorded record of death penalty executions - 234.....and the audience burst out in a sustained applause before the questions was finished.  Killing seems to be an attractive asset for this audience.  It gives one cause to wonder.....yeah, really wonder:

2.  Paul Krugman, of the NY Times, on the problems with different origins related to the European Union financial crisis:

3.  Bob Woodward of the Washington Post.  Nice piece on the continuing rebuttals to Cheney's memoir of a book (Dr. Death and the goodness of Evil):

4. LA Times Op-Ed.  A bit of human interest change of pace.  Sandy Koufax, record keeping, and data analysis.  No politics involved:
