Artificial Intelligence; aka AI is all over the news and the internet. For most people, it is largely misunderstood. Most of us are taken by reports that the data centers are these huge buildings that suck up electricity and raise our rates. AI consumes significant water to keep the hardware cooled, thereby reducing our water supply. Those are the cries we hear most often. However, as this Youtube video shows, the biggest concern is that AI has reached a stage in its development where the coded programs already created are now writing the programs for current and future systems. It is known that without adequate supervision and oversight, future Artificial Intelligent self-written programs threaten our future. Programs are breaking away from their human-controlled boundaries and acting in weird ways that pose a potential danger.
